Today, we are proud to be part of its next evolution. The project has transitioned into OpenEverest, a fully independent, open-source initiative driven by a multi-vendor community.
At Solanica, we have launched with a clear mission: to support this ecosystem by providing the technical leadership and enterprise services required to run OpenEverest at scale in production environments.
A New Approach to Database Management
OpenEverest was created to simplify database management by abstracting the complexity of Kubernetes Operators. However, we know that moving away from managed cloud services to a private DBaaS requires more than just a software tool; it requires long-term stability and specialized expertise.
Solanica is a new organization dedicated entirely to the OpenEverest project. We believe that a healthy open-source community is built on teamwork, trust, merit, and accountability. We also plan to donate OpenEverest to Cloud Native Computing Foundation to ensure its vendor-neutrality and open-source sustainability.
